Abstract: This is a descriptive and exploratory study which aimed to understand the genders implications in the health practices and self-care of adolescents and to identify your opinions about the actions offered in Basic Health Units BHU. Quanto à idade dos participantes, observa-se que eles possuem entre 10 e 19 anos, com um maior percentual de adolescentes entre os 14 e 16 anos. O fato de as meninas namorarem mais que os rapazes pode ser explicado tendo em vista a influência das questões socioculturais e de gênero, nos modos como a sociedade se posiciona diante dos comportamentos afetivo-sexuais das mulheres.
